Darker blades are, in this forum, well known for theirs many qualities, so they will easily find their clientele, even in penhold.
In fact, there are some japanese penholder here, but not enough to get good penhold blades publicities, consequently the few players who use this type of blade will probably be delighted

And for others players like me, it is always interesting to discover top quality 1 ply hinoki blades (and japanese penhold moreover).

Hi,

these few days I've been watching video clips of good J-penhold players on youtube, simply just to understand the way they play. As J-pen is a single sided blade, hence the limitation is of course on the backhand. Penholder like Kim Taek Soo and Ryu Seung Min never fail to amaze me with their ability to cope with the game well despite of backhand limitation. It's no doubt, the major strength of a penholder will be good footwork and powerful drive.

I hope more people will write a review on their experience or opinion in playing J-pen blade in both english and french. Here, I use google translator to translate my posting to French. I hope it will turn out to be good

ces quelques jours que j'ai été regarder des clips vidéo de bonne J-Penhold joueurs sur YouTube, tout simplement de comprendre la façon dont ils jouent. Comme J-plume est une lame simple face, d'où la limitation est de cours sur le revers. Penholder comme Kim Taek Soo et Ryu Seung Min ne manquent jamais de me surprendre par leur capacité à faire face avec le jeu et malgré la limitation de revers. Il ne fait aucun doute, la grande force d'un Penholder seront bonnes jambes et puissant drive.



Kim Taek Soo reste un des meilleurs Penholder et divertissante joueur à moi:
